Apply today! - THE COMPANY; - Our client is a well established, genuine market leader in survey equipment. - Their broad product offering includes Total Stations, GNSS systems, GPS systems, machine control systems, laser scanners, handheld data collectors as well as airborne drones, that create detailed digital modelling. - Their solutions cover industries such as surveying, engineering, building and heavy construction, power-lines and plant, safety and security, utilities, road and highways and rail. - THE ROLE; - As Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, you will be an expert, specialist in civil engineering and infrastructure projects. - These projects include Highways, Rail, bridges, tunnels, across the Midlands and Northern Home counties. Territory to be covered includes Birmingham, Coventry, Cambridge, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Swindon, High Wycombe. - The Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager will typically be liaising with Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Engineers, site engineers, site agents, setting out engineers etc, or major construction and civil engineering companies. - You will either sell directly or through plant hire companies. - The role will also include running training days and workshops for the people that will be using your Total Stations, GNSS systems, GPS systems, machine control systems and laser scanners. - This is a capital equipment sell, when a Total Station may cost from £15K-£30K+ and scanners from £40K-£60K typically. You could be securing orders of £hundreds of thousands at times, so will need to be a confident, technically strong professional. - Working closely with colleagues in the team, many of whom are Engineering surveyors by trade, who love promoting market leading products and have successfully made the transition into a selling environment. - THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; - The ideal candidate will currently be working on engineering and infrastructure projects, be a qualified Engineer, looking to use their industry knowledge in a more sales led/educational environment. - Alternatively, an engineering qualified individual, already in sales, with a proven track record of selling surveying equipment products and services to the end user. - You will have a strong knowledge of the wide range of surveying equipment solutions and the requirements and challenges faced by the user of survey equipment. - You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and functions. - You will have a positive and engaging personality, with entrepreneurial drive and work ethic. - You will have a strong level of urgency, responsibility and accountability. - You will be a confident presenter, as you will be running workshops, training sessions as well as attending industry exhibitions. - You will have a fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and a working knowledge of CRM software solutions, such as Salesforce.com. - THE REMUNERATION; - Basic salary of circa £35K dependent on experience. - Achievable bonus of up to £18K, measured on sales performance, number of workshops won, pipeline built etc. Paid quarterly. - BMW type company car. - 25 days holiday, plus public holidays - 5% Pension contribution from the company. - Laptop, mobile. - If you are an Engineering surveyor, looking to move into a sales environment, or you are already selling survey equipment and you're looking to take your career to the next level, then apply today!
