Department Profile Corporate Services provides a vast array of functions that keep Morgan Stanley working efficiently. Whether booking airline tickets, ordering business cards, or preparing a presentation, employees rely on Corporate Services for the support they need. Its units provide everything from cell phones to video and audio conferencing, mail, copier and fax services, desktop publishing, website design, print materials, and gift items. Corporate Services negotiates service contracts, procures supplies, manages our offices, power and plumbing, our cafeterias and catering, not to mention managing large-scale architectural and construction projects. Primary Responsibilities • Provide all direction, governance and management of the European engineering operations including critical and statutory hard services, planned preventative maintenance, reactive and incident management, engineering related project delivery and day to day service oversight. • Work with incumbent engineering delivery team to continually drive enhancements in engineering service levels and performance. • Oversee the delivery of statutory inspections and audits across the region to ensure ongoing compliance with regulation and the associated administration and management of records. • Act as the lead in the management of incidents, undertaking post incident reviews and investigations ensuring all actions and risks are identified and mitigated. • Undertaking routine audits of the service delivery of European Branch contracts to ensure that the provision of Landlord and Morgan Stanley supplied services continues to meet requirements. • Support the implementation and ongoing management of engineering related contracts across the European Branch portfolio in close co-operation with EMEA Branch Management, Sourcing and Property Services teams. • Lead regular scenario testing to ensure high standards and enforce best practice under incident conditions. • Support the smooth transition of projects into operations ensuring the appropriate documentation and post project controls are established and maintained. • Compile technical reports and data to meet ad hoc and regular reporting requirements. • Develop and maintain processes, procedures and other administrative tools and systems (drawing registers, shared drives and SharePoint sites) to enhance the EMEA engineering operating arrangements. • Work with incumbent service providers to target and continually drive energy saving opportunities and sustainable working practices. • Monitor and maintain critical asset capacities to ensure equipment and systems operate within design parameters. • Ensure effective Health & Safety management systems are in place, primarily for Engineering Operations, but to include other hard services identified as part of the role, mitigating regulatory and business risk to the Firm. • General administration as required. Qualifications Skills required • Degree / HND qualified in a building services engineering field a significant advantage. • High degree of technical knowledge in all facets of building services, including but not limited to; electrical systems (HV/LV), mechanical and air conditioning systems, controls and plumbing is essential. • Experience in managing and leading the resolution of technical issues and client interface, preferably in a financial services environment. • Experience in contract implementation and contract performance management is essential. • Proven experience in managing staff and vendor relationships. • Pro-active approach, initiative and the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Articulate and effective communicator with particular attention to detail. • Team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work streams. • Good level of Health & Safety knowledge and awareness.
