Main Purpose of Job: Flight Data Services provide an outsourced Flight Data Monitoring service to aircraft operators worldwide. As a Flight Data Analyst, you will help improve the safety of our customers operations by analysing their flight data and providing them with flight safety support and advice. The following is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. Relationships: Responsible to: Team Leader Analysis Liaison with: Customers, Analysis Team, Software Developers, IT Support, Flight Safety Manager. Flight Analysis: Provide routine safety and maintenance analysis of downloaded flight data including: Validation of events as initially identified by Flight Data Connect software. Investigation of abnormal operations, reporting findings to customers. Compilation of statistical reports. Management of ad hoc requests for analysis or supply of data. Investigation and production of reports for customers on specific safety issues. Liaise with the Software Development Team and Customers on the continuous improvement and development of our web-based analysis platform, Flight Data Connect, to include: Assisting in the development of new aircraft data frames. Consulting with software developers to create new, or improve existing safety event algorithms. Perform acceptance, Events, Data frames and statistics Provide occasional out of hours emergency support (AOG -Aircraft on Ground service); Customer Service Excellence: Be the first point of contact to and maintain regular communications with, a number of allocated customer accounts including The provision of flight safety support and guidance to your customers, utilising the extensive experience and knowledge within the company to add value to their service and improve the safety of their operation. Understanding customer requirements and drivers. Compiling and sending monthly safety reports to your customers. You will be required for overseas travel for customer visits. Consulting with customers to ensure that the most appropriate safety events and thresholds are in place. Provide ownership of email, incidents and support tickets for customers ensuring that service levels are met. Provide website demonstrations and advice to your customers and visitors, in particular those who are new to the service or when new website features and tools are released. Continual Professional Development: Participate in the Continuous Professional Development programme for Analysts, ensuring we provide customers with a high quality and consistent analysis service; Provide coaching and/or on the job technical training to new and less experienced analysts; Participate in Flight Data Services training courses and safety seminars; Attend industry conferences and exhibitions as required. Health, Safety and Well-being: Ensure healthy team well-being is established and maintained, Promote a good health, safety and well-being culture; Exercise a personal duty of care for your own health, safety and well-being; Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: 5 GCSE's A-C (Including English & Maths) or equivalent 2 A Level's/BTEC/HND Flying experience essential Previous analytical experience desired Demonstrable interest in aviation Proficient in the use of MS Windows / Office A passion for safety and a good understanding of safety management principles. Core office working hours are 9.30am to 4.00 pm, weekly hours are 37.5 per week with an unpaid 1-hour lunch break. This role is to work one weekend day every second week on a roster basis with time off in lieu. Location: The work will be carried out at the Flight Data Services offices in Whiteley, Hampshire.
