As the electrical / instrumentation technician, you will work as part of a small engineering team and assist with various planned and reactive maintenance activities. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Updating and developing engineering documentation.
  • Developing work scopes and assisting in project planning and execution.
  • Acting as the competent engineering person, developing and maintaining maintenance inspections to meet statutory requirements (Compex, BS 7671, DESEAR etc)
  • Managing external engineering / maintenance contractors.

What you will need to be successful in your application for the electrical / instrumentation technician position.

  • Must be Compex EX1-4 certified.
  • Must hold relevant instrumentation or electrical engineering qualification gained within a manufacturing / industrial environment.
  • Proven experience of fault finding and maintaining instrumentation and/or PLC systems.

In return, the electrical / instrumentation technician will receive a salary up to £36,000 in addition to an excellent benefits package including a 15% pension contribution, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 30 days over time and Bupa. Working days, Monday - Friday.
