About the role:
They've got a great opportunity for a hands-on ICT Operations Manager. You will lead and manage the ICT operations function; including the Service Desk - taking responsibility for the day to day operation and support to staff of their ICT services. Working in partnership with stakeholders within their organisation to ensure the ICT service is able to deliver the needs for their users, the organisation and the People They Support you will ensure a high level of performance, security and reliability in a Microsoft Windows, Hyper-V virtualised environment.
Essential skills and knowledge required for this job include up-to-date knowledge of:
-Technology, hardware and software developments (including switches, routers, VLAN, SAN, firewall and virtualised environments such as Hyper-V / VMware) -Information security - backups, protection, defence against Malware/Ransomware -Database administration (SQL server 2) -ITILv3
You will need a proven track record of:
-Maintaining a high performance ICT environment -Effective provisioning, installation, upgrade, configuration, administration and maintenance of Network / Server Infrastructure, storage & databases -Lead, motivate and managing staff in a ICT operations environment -Managing SLA's and 3rd party support contracts -Project delivery
