They have recently acquired one of the UK's largest and most high profile contracts. As such they are looking to recruit a number of key positions, including the one detailed below.

They are looking for a School Premises Manager to be based at a school in Yorkshire.

Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
25 days holiday PLUS bank holidays

You will NEED to have a background check (Disclosure Barring Service) to start this role - so you must have no spent or unspent convictions.

Position Overview

To manage the daily operation and service delivery of PFI Schools in an equal partnership between the school and the company's within the framework of PFI.
To manage the directly employed IIS staff and sub-contractors, office operational systems, ensure compliance with H & S, Quality and Environmental policies of the company and the school, whilst ensuring at all times the enhancement of customer perception and the company's corporate image, goals and objectives.
To work closely with the Account Manager to increase profitability at site level under the PFI agreement.


Develop and maintain good working relationships with the school representatives, Head Teachers, Governors, staff, pupils and parents and members of the community understanding the key business/social drivers.
Tobe part of and to share the school aims for the students, to support and contribute to school polices in respect of equal opportunities, behaviour &training.
Recruit, manage & train IIS staff in line with company policies and procedures.
Ensure professional quality of service delivery and compliance with legislative requirements for IIS and the schools.
Ensure all Health & Safety, quality and environmental systems are followed.
Develop direct staff reports to meet growth opportunities. Set out staff development plans for all direct reports and complete annual staff reviews.
Maintain and operate accurate and reliable management reporting information and PFI monitoring systems (audits).
Support the Account Manager in providing the school with monthly reports.
Manage sub-contractors and partners in line with company policy.
Agree all wage timesheets for directly employed staff.
To manage cleaning, caretaking, catering, M&E, grounds maintenance and other related FM works
Oversee the 3rd party use being provided by appointed service provider.
Provide accurate additional works quotations utilising the AVR procedure
Any other duties requested by the Account Manager

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Operational experience
Experience of Total FM operations
Previous Education Sector Experience
Experience in dealing with PFI contracts
Technical qualification or background

Strong interpersonal , team and motivational skills
