Field Electrical Engineer experienced in control systems specifically with PLC configuration to work for a leading and award winning Engineering firm. With an HNC, degree or equivalent as Mechanical / Electrical Engineer you will be required to support the end customers using the company's automation systems and process equipment.
With sound understanding and experience of electronic applications with a programmable functionality you must have exposure to PLC, DCS, AC invertors or similar industrial controllers.
With well rounded electrical technical knowledge the Electrical engineer will be managing multiple call outs in the North of England including sites in Bury, Middlesbrough, Leeds and within the Lancashire / Yorkshire / Cheshire / Staffordshire counties. Configuring and working closely with the customer to diagnose, report and repair automation machinery including conveyors, servos and Controls & Automation equipment. Good electrical circuit / wiring skills essential.
You will be responsible for supporting customer equipment, specifically covering:
* Core electrical products * Test of equipment and products, SAT * Technical electrical assessment * Problem solving of tested mechanical and electrical products * Fault finding and analysis * Electrical calculations * Documentation & report writing * When required, contact with OEM's and liaison with clients * Work closely with sales, new product development and senior management
This is a fantastic working environment and very exciting time for a company expanding and leading their field in innovative and exciting products. Project work includes clients based in across the world. Some travel to these locations is occasionally required. However, most support work is in the North of the UK.
With broad electrical / electronic control system knowledge along with good mechanical assembly knowledge you will be expected to be hands-on and demonstrate basic principles of electronic engineering. Any mechanical knowledge (hydraulics, pneumatics, motor drive systems, servos, automation systems, and power electronics) would be useful. Good maths and physics preferred.
