Maintenance / Instrumentation Technician
Regular Days 07:30 - 16:00
Sheffield
£31,491 + Fantastic Benefits Including: Pension - 3% employee, 4-6% employer; childcare voucher; life assurance up to 3x annual salary, equivalent 33 days annual holiday

The Company
McIver Knight are currently working with a global leader within the metals industry, who are seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to join their engineering support team on a regular day shift pattern.
Overview
It is the Maintenance Technician's responsibility to ensure that uptime is kept to a maximum, by carrying out all relevant Maintenance activities across the plant.

Main Duties of the Maintenance Technician:

- Support PPM, TPM and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Carry out repairs to furnace breakdowns
- Carry out planned maintenance on all furnaces, instruments, thermocouples, recording equipment and functions
- Ensuring all records are kept up to date, and are available (MMS, Calibrations, Thermocouple Position, Numbers)
- Setting up and carrying out surveys on all furnaces
- Spares Management

The successful candidate will be:

- A fully qualified Engineer (ONC, OND, HNC, HND, NVQ, City & Guilds Etc.)
- Apprentice Trained

And you will ideally…

- Have experience within a hot working environment (rolling, forging, ring rolling, foundry etc.)
- Be Multi-Skilled, with a bias towards instrumentation
