M&E Project Manager

Location: Cambridge

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager (MEP) to join our established Northern Home Counties team where the primary focus will be to take full accountability for the management of the MEP deliverables at tender, design, pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases for either a single project or a portfolio of projects.

Key Accountabilities will include:
  • Procure, manage, coordinate and quality control all the relevant MEP parties ensuring compliance with Wates Standards throughout the project
  • Establish MEP procurement /packaging strategy aligned with building fabric elements.
  • Complete MEP tender documents incorporating scopes, interface documents, design responsibility matrices and builderswork matrix.
  • Ensure MEP design is issued in a timely fashion and audited to guarantee compliance, buildability and commissionability.
  • Assist Design Manger with provision of technical advice, to produce, agree and manage with all relevant parties, a realistic design programme and information required schedule to satisfy design, procurement and construction requirements.
  • Identify, manage and contain the risks inherent in the procurement strategy.
  • Ensure Wates tender submission document is completed to highest level incorporating all MEP technical clarifications, installation and commissionability solutions.

We are looking for a qualified and effective Project Manager who has solid experience in mechanical and electrical building services, and of managing MEP procurement and delivery phases/installation stages of new build projects to £30M in value.

To be successful in the role you will live within commuting distance of Cambridge and will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business.
