Job Description

Assembly Division Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes
Employment: Permanent
Hours: 37.5
Reports to: Assembly Production Manager

Job Purpose: Production of proposals/quotations against electrical/mechanical schematics & BOM's for industrial applications
-Procurement of all non-franchise products for work orders
-Produce proposals/quotations against electrical/mechanical schematics and BOM's for industrial applications
-Project manage opportunities to completion including creation of works orders & job packs for production
-Liaise with production supervisor and assembly team on all technical and design aspects of build
-Inspection & test of assemblies as required
-Perform customer service/site visits as required
-Management of all assembly division documentation
-When required, liaise between suppliers and Routeco purchasing regarding price, availability and supply of new product required for production build.
-Take part in weekly production meetings and report on status of customer enquiries as required.
-Takes on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives
-Be accountable for personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco' s core competencies and learning and development framework
-Compliance with H&S policy and procedures
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
-It is important that the job holder should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and the ability to work within a structured environment.
-It will be important for the job holder to methodical and precise in their approach.
-t is important to have good working knowledge of Microsoft office systems
-Application and product knowledge Industrial Control & Automation components.
-A good level of education is required, with at least GSCE's in Maths and English (or equivalent)
-HNC/D in electrical engineering (or equivalent electrical engineering qualification) is highly desirable.
-Experience within an electrical engineering role would be an advantage.
-The role holder will have the ability to provide practical solutions, solve problems and look for continuous improvements for both the customer and the company.
-The ability to plan and prioritise will be key for being successful in the role.
